Delta Air Lines Passengers Discover the Spirit of Africa in Amarula Cream Liqueur
October 27, 2005, Louisville, KY — Delta Air Lines passengers will soon get a taste of Africa even if their final destination isn’t the beautiful continent. Beginning November 1, Amarula Cream Liqueur will be served on-board all domestic and international Delta flights and offered in most Crown Room Clubs. The agreement partners with one of the world’s largest air carriers in terms of passengers carried with the world’s second largest selling cream liqueur.
“Traveling is an opportunity to discover a whole other world out there,” said Amarula National Brand Manager Meghan Murray. “Working with a world class air carrier like Delta provides Amarula a way to break out from the crowded on-premise and off-premise marketplace. Passengers will be able to experience the Exotic Spirit of Africa while relaxing on Delta wherever their travels may take them.”
For more than 75 years, Delta Air Lines has been a leader in providing unique in-flight entertainment and on-board amenities. The airline was selected last year for having the Most Original Wine List, an award sponsored by Business Traveler and Wine International magazines, and this year was honored to have been named the “Most Preferred Airline” by business travelers* and its SkyMiles program was voted as the Best Frequent Flyer program in a Travel Savvy survey.
“Delta strives to create unique, high-flying hospitality options in an effort to provide an enjoyable and safe flying experience for our domestic and international passengers,” said Beth Paschetto, Delta Air Lines Managing Director – Customer Products and Services. “Our passengers can enjoy a glass of Amarula and experience a true taste of African adventure while they relax on their Delta flight anywhere in the world.”
Amarula has developed a fully integrated program in preparation for its November 1 launch. Among the activities focused on driving awareness of its availability, the liqueur will be advertised in Delta’s in-flight magazine, Sky, and Delta will conduct information sessions with flight attendants.
